We all recognize ASUS with its reputation as a manufacturer of superior multimedia laptop. Within a few months it often releases several ASUS laptop for graphics and gaming with high quality. Two months ago, exactly in the end of May 2012, ASUS released a 17.3-inch laptop with the series name G75VW-DS71. With immersive 3D experience with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology, this laptop is expected to beat Alienware in the class of laptop for gaming. Then, how about this ASUS G75VW-DS71?

To become a major competitor of Alienware, ASUS G75VW-DS71 is built with Ivy Bridge Quad Core processor 2.3 GHz Core i7-3610QM, 12GB RAM, GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, 750GB Serial ATA hard drive and some other game features. G75VW seemed made for performance and speed. It was made with a soft plastic cap and rub with the hand comfortably. There are ASUS logo and the Republic of Gamers that is clearly shown in the middle.

ASUS G75VW-DS71 is built with 16.3 x 12.6 x 2 inches dimensions and weighs 9.4 pounds. Wow! It’s heavy, is not it? Aluminum on the keyboard deck wraps around to the back of the laptop. To support the audio quality, this laptop is equipped with speakers that are located along laptop; SonicMaster Lite is a powerful audio with built-in subwoofer. There is also the heat exhaust to the rear to increase the aesthetics of sport in G75VW.

There is little difference in ASUS G75VW-DS71 with other 17-inch laptops. G75VW is equipped with a matter, it is absent in the other 17-inch laptops. It was built with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. When compared to other laptops, the DS71 G75VW screen is less bright when compared to MSI GT60 (268 lux) because it is only at 218 lux, and also slightly dimmer than the average desktop (220 lux.
