Toshiba Satellite P855 Review

Another new glasses-free 3D laptop from Toshiba, called Toshiba Satellite P855. The Toshiba Satellite P855 is a 15.6 inches laptop that uses lenticular technology, which uses a webcam to adjust the 3D effect to the user’s head movements, for that 3D viewing experience.

Toshiba P855 also comes with an optical drive with the user being able to choose between a pretty standard multi-writer and a Blu-ray readable optical drive. The Satellite P855 is expected to use Intel processors and a dedicated NVIDIA chip for its graphics processor. The storage is also expected to be a 1TB worth of hard drive or a 750GB / 8GB SSD.

The price tag has yet to be disclosed, but that should also be more appealing, since the Satellite range starts at £599 ($940).

The glasses-free 3D laptop won’t arrive until Q2 of 2012.
